A letter lost

The following is part of a 20 day challenge to get into a better habit of blogging. Each day presents a new prompt. Today’s prompt was “lost.” This particular entry’s main mission is to be brief in discussing the discovery of a letter on a path that affects you deeply. It is a work of mostly fiction.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

letterThe letter lay on the wooded path, found during a solitary walk.

Flecks of dirt on plain white paper partially covered by leaves.

Looping cursive letters smudged. By raindrops? Tears?

“I miss you. Come home.”

There is no address.

No return-to-sender.

Love, lost?
