Photo a day (13/366): A wintry mix

What a difference a day makes. Temperatures fell to the upper teens today. My thought? Go outside, get some winter weather pix.

I thought a small park near where I grew up would be an interesting place to shoot — bright-colored equipment, gray skies, and ice. Pictures didn’t turn out as good as I thought they might.  I think I am going to need to find a way to systematically review settings and approaches I take in different situations.

The above photo of ice clinging delicately to some monkey bars was the best I got. The following photo was secondary:

After a half hour of freezing I went to my parents who live nearby to see my 3-year-old nephew, where while playing and laughing and watching cartoons I took photos.

I always enjoy taking photos of my nephew. It helps that he is a ham.
