Photo a day (10/366): Nature’s reprieve

Like most places in the U.S.,  Cincinnati winter weather is extremely mild now, so much so that Mother Nature is a bit confused.

Trees and plants are showing signs of new life when they should still be dormant. So, that is what today’s shoot is all about — these extreme close-ups that I’ll look at longingly in March when the mild winter weather finally turned.

This whole brief spring in the midst of winter has put a particular glow on what is otherwise a drab time of year in an area of the country that often gets gray clouds and cold with only little bursts of snow to break up the monotony of winter.

  1. I find myself on the treadmill also…Especially during the winter… I try to push myself i I end up running on the treadmill. My goal is to run more outdoors. Me and the cold dont go well together though…
